Concert Pianist | Piano Teacher

Audio

Janacek, his daughter dying
Debussy (dying and broke)
Call and cry from the grand piano
In a room off Baker Street
Near the Sherlock Holmes Hotel.

The notes whisper, writhe and sob as
The pianist - one small woman in
Sensible shoes - decides to
Break her heart and ours.

Bells, birds, stars and leaves
Drop from the sky; the roof is gone.
